Hello!

I’m Alec Wright, director at APRWright Consultancy

Our aim is to help bridge the gap between IP and R&D. Having spent over 8 years innovating, creating ideas then either publishing in a paper or protecting in a patent I will be working with you to help protect your own innovation.

Having a strong academic background with a Masters in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering plus a PhD also in chemical engineering with a cross-over into applied physics, electrical engineering and microbiology gives me the tools to quickly understand your innovation. Throughout my academic career, I published 12 peer-reviewed papers and filed two patents demonstrating my ability to produce results within a short space of time.

This has been continued within my industrial career where I have over 200 patent applications in recycling systems, consumer authentication, hand-held FMCG and flavour-enhancing consumables. In addition to inventing new ideas, I also manage the technical aspects of projects making decisions on where improvements can be made, fault finding and data analysis.
